Kateretere

This trip starts by following the same road as the Kanaba Gap route. However, instead of returning the way you came, it turns and follows a bumpy track on top of the hills. Driving behind Lake Murehe allows you to capture images of both mountains and lakes surrounded by green and lush vegetation. Stopping off in several places will let you stretch your legs before the steep downhill trip which crosses the river and heads back into town along a newly surfaced road.
